Nagpur Centre is the second centre established by The Indian Institute of Architects after Pune. It was very humble beginning. We Started on a very small note with about 25 to 30 members but with passing of the years, we have enrolled many new members, & have gathered a lot of well wishers who religiously participate on our activities. Many new entrants have also joined us during this period and as they say -Log Judte Gaye Aur Karavan Banata Gaya Now, we have 450+ members and counting
- Flagship events like Malvankar Memorial Oration, SA Deshpande Design Competetion, Students thesis Exbhition, Charater Night are regular Events conducted every year by IIA Nagpur Centre.
- 'Rachana' - an exhibition of building materials and office automation systems was started in 1988 along with the National Convention and till date is organized every alternate year.
- Regular interesting and educative programmes are conducted for the betterment of Architectual fratenity and society.
